Logo
Since biblical times, the fish or ‘icthus' symbol, has been used by early Christians. ‘Icthus’ is an acronym that stands for ‘Jesus Christ Son of God Saviour’ and is also the Greek word for fish. The symbol of the fish was used by early Christians to identify each other, because they were persecuted for their faith. They drew the Christian fish symbol in their homes, in the dirt when they met each other, showing that they shared the same faith. Today the fish is still used as a symbol of Christianity.
As a Christian educational community, we have chosen the icthus symbol to represent the essence of our school as being Christ centred. The secondary element of the water ripple combined with the cool blue and green tonings, reflects the link in our school name to the Pacific Ocean. Finally, the tail has been created in an upright position to form a cross, symbolising the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
The simplicity and elegance of the logo provides a fresh, contemporary feel that reflects the relevance and strength of a Christian education at Pacific Hills. It communicates the care, excellence and innovation which Pacific Hills strives for in all aspects of school life, in response to how Christ has called us to live.
School Song
God Builds Our Future Here
Learning to live, living to learn
Growing in knowledge, strengthened with power
His future calls us, a generation growing
In wisdom and knowledge hidden in Him
He builds our future here through living in wisdom here
In Christ united to share a common faith
Christ's calling compels us to share a common goal
God building our future here in the mystery of Christ
Encouraged in heart, united in love
Complete understanding the mystery of God
The treasures of wisdom, the depths of His knowledge
Hidden in Christ, completed in Him
He builds our future here through living in wisdom here
In Christ united to share a common faith
Christ's calling compels us to share a common goal
God building our future here in living and learning here
The assurance of destiny in the mystery of Christ.

Pacific Hills' students are divided into four houses for school sports carnivals. This develops team spirit, increases participation, builds excitement and promotes healthy yet friendly competition. These houses are named after four great Christians – Elliot (Blue), Carey (Green), Mueller (Red) and Taylor (Yellow). Each man has a wonderful story and testimony to share.
